Chapel Hill, N.C. - North Carolina will play host to the eight-team East Atlantic Gymnastics League Championships on Saturday, March 23, at 2 p.m. Tickets are available on GoHeels.com. Reserved tickets are $10 and general admission range from $3-$5. UNC Students and faculty with a ONE card will be admitted free of charge.
Carolina has not hosted the EAGL Championships since 2001 when the event was held in the Smith Center. An exciting environment is expected this year at Carmichael Arena, which provides an intimate atmosphere in an eight-team meet.
The Tar Heels will open the competition on the uneven bars. Last week, head coach Derek Galvin called Carolina's bar routine performance (49.175) one of the best of his 32 years in Chapel Hill.
On Friday, March 22, a banquet will be held for the eight teams at the Blue Zone Concourse Club at Kenan Stadium.
