CHAPEL HILL - The University of North Carolina men's basketball team will compete in the 2013 Hall of Fame Tip Off Tournament in November with games to be played in both Chapel Hill and Uncasville, Conn.

The Tar Heels are one of eight schools slated to play in the event, which will be hosted by the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame based in Springfield, Mass.

Carolina will be competing in the Naismith Bracket along with Fairfield, Louisville and Richmond. The Springfield Bracket includes Belmont, Hartford, Holy Cross and Hofstra.

UNC will play host to games at the Smith Center on November 15^th and 17^th, then travel to New England to play games at the Mohegan Sun Arena on November 23^rd and 24^th.

The Tar Heels previously played in the Hall of Fame Game in Springfield, Mass., in 1982-83 against St. John's, 1987-88 against Syracuse and 1996-97 against Arizona.
