The North Carolina women's fencing squad went 4-2 and the men went 2-3 Sunday at the Brandeis Invitational in Waltham, Mass.
Both Tar Heel teams beat the host Judges, and the men also topped Boston College 19-8. While the women fell to the Eagles, they picked up wins against Yale (16-11), MIT (19-8) and Brown (14-13).
UNC does not compete again for more than a month, with the next action on Jan. 12 at the Penn State Dual Meets in State College, Pa.
