CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina's 17 football seniors will participate in a program at the Disney Institute in Orlando, Fla., Nov. 30-Dec. 2. Disney Institute is the global professional training and development program that offers more than 80 years of best practices from The Walt Disney Company.
Uniquely tailored to North Carolina's football seniors, this Disney program will focuses on the behaviors and values of Disney's approach to leadership excellence.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to experience the Disney Institute," says All-America offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper. "This was a great idea by Coach Fedora and the UNC administration. We'll have the opportunity to further our education and hear from some of the nation's top business consultants. Plus, it gives us one more chance to be together with our senior teammates."
Disney Institute consultants will present a program based on five key business practices:

Several athletic organizations and professional teams have worked with the Disney Institute, including the University of Tennessee, the NBA's Orlando Magic, the NFL's Arizona Cardinals and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
"The senior members of our football team showed tremendous leadership and commitment to the University throughout the 2012 season," said UNC Athletics Director Bubba Cunningham. "We are thrilled to provide them with this opportunity to enhance their educational experience, learn leadership lessons from the Disney Institute, and to inspire them to implement the Disney principles in their daily lives."
