CHAPEL HILL --- The North Carolina women's tennis program will host the ninth-annual Kitty Harrison Invitational this weekend at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Named in honor of former UNC head coach Kitty Harrison, the event features 10 teams from throughout the country, including ACC squads Duke, Maryland, Virginia and Virginia Tech in addition to the host Tar Heels.
Play will be flighted singles and doubles, with three 16-player singles draws and three eight-team doubles draws. Finals will be played Saturday in doubles and Sunday in singles. Admission to all matches, which will be played both inside and outside, weather permitting, is free.
