CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Senior sprinter Clayton Parros took a quick break from training for the NCAA National Championships to talk with GoHeelsTV about his upcoming competition.
Parros qualified for the NCAA Championships out of the NCAA East Prelminary last week. He earned a personal record of 45.73 in the 400 in the first round to move into the quarterfinal. In the quarterfinal, Parros raced 46.60 to win his heat and automatically qualify for the semifinal at the championships.
Parros has been to four straight NCAA National Championships, either for his individual performance in the 400 or with the 4x400 relay. He earned All-America honors for his seventh-place finish in the 400 as a freshman in 2010. He anchored the 4x400 relay in 2012 that earned second-team honors.
