Stubbs went 12-for-24 (.500) at the plate and drove in 12 runs in pacing the top-ranked Tar Heels to a 5-1 week, including an ACC series sweep of Maryland. The Waynesville, N.C., native extended his hitting streak to seven games during the sweep of the Terrapins as he tallied a hit in each contest and drove in seven runs in the series. Stubbs reached base 16 times during the week and raised his batting average to an ACC-leading .402. Stubbs currently also moved into the ACC lead in RBIs with 42 after driving in 12 on the week.
The ACC Player of the Week honor is the second of the season for Stubbs, who was also cited on March 11.
