CHAPEL HILL - Glance back at last week and look forward to the week ahead in Carolina athletics with this week's installment of the GoHeels Weekly Primer.


GENERAL:  Carolina is sixth in the latest Directors' Cup standings.

BASEBALL:  On Monday, Carolina beat Clemson in the continuation of a halted game from the day before ... The Tigers took the series finale on Monday night ... On Wednesday, UNC won at UNC Wilmington, 10-0 ... On Friday, UNC dominated Maryland, 12-4 ... On Saturday, Carolina beat the Terps, 5-3 ... Carolina picked up the sweep on Sunday, 8-4 ... UP NEXT:  Carolina will visit Elon on Tuesday, host Liberty on Wednesday and visit Virginia Tech for a three-game series starting on Friday.

MEN'S BASKETBALL:  Take a look back at the Tar Heels on the 20th anniversary of their 1993 NCAA championship ... Watch this GoHeels TV video on the '93 team ... Marcus Paige earned Freshman All-America honors ... The Carolina Basketball Museum is now open on six days a week, including Mondays.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL:  Tierra Ruffin-Pratt earned honorable mention All-America honors from the Associated Press.

FENCING:  Kacie Albert was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

MEN'S GOLF:  The Tar Heels won the Irish Creek Intercollegiate in Kannapolis on Sunday ... UP NEXT:  The ACC Championships are April 26-28 in New London, N.C.

MEN'S LACROSSSE:  On Saturday, the Tar Heels won at Virginia, 10-7 behind 23 saves from goalie Kieran Burke ... UP NEXT:  Carolina will visit Hofstra on Saturday night.

WOMEN'S LACROSSSE:  Kara Cannizzaro was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row and third time this season ... On Saturday, second-ranked Carolina lost at top-ranked Maryland, 14-13 ...  UP NEXT:  UNC will host Jacksonville in its regular season home finale on Friday night at Fetzer Field.

ROWING:  The Tar Heels saw action at the Occoquan Sprints ... UP NEXT:  The Knecht Cup next weekend in Camden, N.J.

SOFTBALL:  Carolina routed Appalachian State on Tuesday, 9-2 ... On Wednesday, the Tar Heels swept James Madison ... On Saturday, UNC swept a doubleheader from Virginia ... On Sunday, Carolina picked up the sweep with a 2-1 win ... UP NEXT:  UNC will host Elon on Wednesday, then visit NC State next weekend.

SWIMMING & DIVING:  Three Tar Heels earned honors in the annual ACC awards ceremony.

MEN'S TENNIS:  On Friday, the Tar Heels beat Georgia Tech, 5-2 ... On Sunday, UNC lost at Clemson ... UP NEXT:  Carolina will host Miami and Florida State on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
