Track Hosts Last Home Indoor Meet Sat.

CHAPEL HILL – The University of North Carolina track and field teams will host the final home meet of the 2013 indoor season on Saturday, February 16th, with events beginning at 10 a.m.

Heading into the final week of competition before the conference championships, which will be held in Blacksburg, Va., from February 21-23, 14 Tar Heels were ranked in the top five of the ACC in 15 events in addition to three relays ranked in the top five.

Patrick Schellberg is ranked fourth in both the 3,000 and the 5,000. AJ Hicks is fourth in the weight throw as Chris DiLorenzo is second in the shot put. Isaac Presson is first in the mile after inching closer to the sub-four mark last weekend at the Husky Classic. Devon Carter and Roy Smith tie for fifth place in the 60 hurdles. Joe Hutchinson is second in the heptathlon. The men's 4x400 relay is third and the men's distance medley relay is fifth.

Lianne Farber is fifth in both the mile and the 3,000. Ariel Roberts is third in the high jump. Cameron Overstreet is second in the pole vault. Sarah Howard is fourth in the shot put. Briana Hudson is fourth in the triple jump. Chrishawn Williams is first in the long jump. Tory Kemp is second in the pentathlon. The women's distance medley relay is second.

Nationally, five Tar Heel women are ranked in the top 20: Williams is tied for seventh in the long jump, Hudson is 18th in the triple jump, Farber is 18th in the mile, Overstreet is tied for 18th in the pole vault, and Roberts is tied for 19th in the high jump.
