The Tar Heels lead five Atlantic Coast Conference teams in the ESPN/USA Today poll with Florida State checking in at No. 9, NC State at No. 11, Georgia Tech at No. 21 and Virginia at No. 25.
The Tar Heels open the season in three weeks against Seton Hall on Feb. 15 at 3 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium.
