  • With the victory, UNC improved to 15-3 all-time in the Maui Invitational and has won 11 of its last 12 games in the tournament. Carolina's 15 Maui wins are second-most in the event's history behind Duke's 16.
  • Roy Williams improved to 13-2 as a head coach in the Maui Invitational, including 8-1 as Carolina's coach. Williams is 18-4 overall in games played in the state of Hawaii.
  • Carolina scored 62 points in the first half, the first time it had 60 in a half since scoring 60 against Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 20, 2011.
  • The Tar Heels shot a season high 68.6 percent in the first half (24 for 35). For the game, Carolina shot 62.3 percent, its highest of the season (first time over 50 percent) and the first time over 60 percent since shooting 62.1 against Tennessee State on Nov. 22, 2011.
  • The Tar Heels made 9 for 12 from three-point range in the opening half. Four different players made at least two threes in the first half.
  • Carolina made 13 three-pointers for the game, the third time in the last four games the Tar Heels have made at least 10 from beyond the arc.
  • Carolina surpassed its scoring total from the previous evening against Butler (71 points) with 15:36 to play in the game.
  • Reggie Bullock made three three-pointers, the fourth time in the last five games he made at least three three-pointers. Bullock tied his career high with six assists.
  • Freshman Brice Johnson made his first start of the season and scored a season-high 16 points.
  • Sophomore guard Luke Davis came into tonight's game with five assists, and he had a season-high seven to go along with a season-best five points against Chaminade.
  • With 112 points, UNC reached 100 for the first time since Jan. 1, 2012, vs. Monmouth (102). On Wednesday, Carolina scored its most points in a game since scoring 116 against UNC Asheville on Nov. 30, 2008.
  • The Tar Heels held advantages of 52-18 in points in the paint, 33-5 points off turnovers, 24-12 fast break and 47-14 off the bench.
