CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina is ranked No. 25 in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll, down just three spots after a split weekend on the road. The Tar Heels are also placed at No. 18 on the NCAA RPI list.
UNC (22-5, 13-4) entered the AVCA national poll last week at No. 22 after a big weekend defeating then No. 11 Florida State and No. 23 Miami at home. The Tar Heels dropped a 3-2 match at Georgia Tech on Thursday, but rebounded to top Clemson 3-1 on Saturday.
UNC returns to Carmichael Arena this weekend for two home matches. The Tar Heels host Virginia Tech Friday at 7 p.m. and then face Virginia on Saturday for Senior Night at 5 p.m.
