Peacock led North Carolina to a second place finish in the SMU Classic as the Tar Heels finished ahead of No. 9 Texas, No. 10 Florida, and No. 16 SMU in the rankings and behind only No. 3 USC. The Cape Coral, Fla., native posted the top time in the 500 freestyle with 4:38.39, more than five seconds faster than any other swimmer, and set a new a new meet and pool record by more than three seconds. Peacock anchored the 800 free relay with a split of 1:46.17 as the Tar Heels finished second to Southern Cal's winning time of 7:10.45, going 7:10.98.
This marked the second successive week in which Peacock was named the ACC Women's Swimmer of the Week. She also won the award on October 16 after Carolina's tri-meet with South Carolina and Texas A&M
