Chapel Hill, N.C. - The Navy squad scored on a two-out Cody Stubbs single in the last half inning played to pull out a 3-3 tie with Blue on Friday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Navy scored the first run of the scrimmage on a Cody Stubbs double to left in the fourth. Blue then tied the score in the bottom of the inning on Kayden Porter's single up the middle. Blue then went up 2-1 in the fifth on Michael Russell's double to left. Another Stubbs base hit, this one a single up the middle, tied the score at 2-2 in the fifth.
Blue took the lead again at 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh on a wild pitch, setting the stage for Stubbs game-tying single in the top of the eighth.
Six pitchers took the mound on Friday: Kent Emanuel, Benton Moss, Hobbs Johnson, Chris McCue, Tate Parrish and Kayden Porter.
The Tar Heels will hold their next scrimmage on Saturday.
