Played for Coach Billy Thomas at The Barstow School in Kansas City, Mo. (Thomas played for Roy Williams and was a teammate of UNC assistant coach C.B. McGrath at Kansas from 1995-98) • Averaged 15.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and two steals as a senior • Led Barstow to a 102-17 record and three consecutive championship game appearances in the state playoffs, winning the title in 2015 • Went 27-4 as a senior • Won first-team all-conference and all-district and honorable mention all-metro and all-state honors in 2016 • Member of the Missouri and Kansas City all-star teams • Also played baseball and golf in high school • President of the investment club • Enjoys photography and making hats (fedoras) in his spare time.

Birthday is December 22nd • Born Skylar Shea Rush in Fairway, Kan. • Son of JaRon Rush and Sarah Hofstra • JaRon played at UCLA • His uncle, Kareem, played at Missouri, and seven seasons in the NBA • His uncle, Brandon, won an NCAA title at Kansas in 2008, won an NBA title with Golden State in 2015 and is a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves • Chose jersey No. 11 “because it’s long and lanky, like me, and it’s aesthetically pleasing and the time 11:11 is lucky to me” • Worked on his three-point shooting and strength in the offseason • Admired Tar Heel James Michael McAdoo when he was younger • Closest friend on another team is Nebraska’s Jeriah Horne • Would like to go back in time to witness The Last Waltz concert by The Band in San Francisco • Can play piano • Would like to possess LeBron James’ will to win and Steph Curry’s consistent shooting.
