Career Best Times:  19.79 in the 50-yard freestyle;  42.96 in the 100-yard freestyle;  1:37.93 in the 200-yard freestyle;  23.23 in 50-meter freestyle;  49.97 in 100-meter freestyle.

General:  Ranks fifth in UNC history in the 50-yard freestyle at 19.79 seconds and second in the 100-yard freestyle at 42.96 seconds… swam a leg on three relays which established school records in 2015 – 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 800 free relay.

2015-16:  A veteran leader in the Carolina Leadership Academy...last summer at Phillips 66 U.S. Nationals he combined with Sam Lewis, Lucas Popp and Nic Graesser to place fourth in 400-meter freestyle relay.

2014-15:  Swam on two relay teams which earned honorable mention All-America honors - 200 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay...at ACC Championships, he swam on four relays, including second place 200 free and 400 free units, third place 400 medley relay and fifth place 800 free relay...as an individual he placed 11th in both the 50 free and the 100 free...in dual meet win over Tennessee he won the 50 and 100 freestyles and swam on winning 400 free relay...swam on two winning relay teams versus Georgia...led the Tar Heels to dual meet wins over Virginia Tech, Navy and Virginia, taking the 100 free and swimming on both winning relay units...anchored two winning relays in victory over Duke...participated as a veteran leader in the Carolina Leadership Academy.

2013-14: Participated in the 2014 USA Swimming Phillips 66 National Championships preliminaries…also participated in the 2014 Arena Grand Prix…2014 NCAA qualifier, swimming on three relay teams…had impressive performance at ACC Championships…swam on four relays, placing fourth in the 200 free relay (1:18.43), fourth in the 400 free relay (2:54.72), sixth in the 200 medley relay (1:25.80) and sixth in the 400 medley relay (3:09.65)…individually, he placed 14th in the 50 free and 17th in 100 free…both medley relays set school records at the ACC meet…swam on the winning 200 medley relay (1:29.33) and the 400 free relay (3:00.32) in February meet against College of Charleston…named ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week on January 28, 2014…won 200 medley relay (1:27.93), 50 free (20.04), 100 free (43.72) and 400 free relay (2:59.58) in dual meet win against Virginia…named ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week on January 14, 2014…won 200 medley relay (1:28.62), 50 free (20.40) and 100 free (45.47) in January meet against Navy…had outstanding performance in November’s Nike Cup…won 200 medley relay (1:26.66) with Nic Graesser, Kurt Wohlrab and Sam Lewis…placed fourth in 50 free (20.23), third in 100 free (43.72) and 10th in 200 free (1:40.37)…placed second in 200 free relay (1:19.34), second in 400 medley relay (3:11.91), second in 400 free relay (2:56.01) and third in 800 free relay (6:37.43) at the Nike Cup…won 200 medley relay (1:30.73) and 50 free (20.89) in dual meet against TCU…won 100 free (45.65) and swam on 400 free relay (3:01.20) in meet against Texas…won 50 free (20.37), 400 free relay (3:00.23) and 200 medley relay (1:29.94) in meet against Virginia Tech.

2012-13:  NCAA qualifier…captured Jamerson Memorial Award as Carolina’s most improved swimmer…at the 2013 ACC Championships, he placed fifth in the 100-yard freestyle at 43.23, ninth in the 50-yard freestyle at 19.79 and 15th in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:38.14…captured ACC Swimmer of the Week honors on October 30, 2012…in the dual meet against Virginia Tech he won the 50 and 100 freestyles and led off the victorious 400 freestyle relay team…captured both the 50 and 100 freestyle events in dual meet competition against Duke.

Prep:  Competed in swimming at Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, N.C., from 2009-12…did his club swimming for SwimMAC Carolina…captain of Lake Norman team as a senior…led team to 3A state title in 2009…won 4A state high school championships as a senior in 50 and 100 freestyles…Lake Norman MVP in both 2011 and 2012…high school athlete of the year as a senior…established five individual and three relay school records…as a member of the SwimMAC Carolina senior group he helped set USA Swimming 2010-11 national age group records in the 4x50 and 4x100 freestyle relays…a 2011 U.S. Swimming Scholastic Swimmer…showed consistent improvement in his career best times as his high school career progressed…AAA Scholastic All-America from 2010-12.

Personal:  Full name is Logan Robert Heck…stands 5-9 tall…the son of Gary and Suzanne Heck…was born August 10, 1993 in Orlando, Fla. …his father Gary is a singer/songwriter…sister Sabrina graduated from Lake Norman High School where she ran cross country and competed in track and field...she now attends University of Florida…his brother Brody is also a talented swimmer…exercise and sports science major…family now resides in Boca Raton, Fla....says he likes long walks on the beach.
