VENICE, FLA. - Three University of North Carolina golfers, Casey Grice, Catherine O'Donnell and Allie White, completed second round play at the Stage II LPGA Qualifying Tournament which is being played at the Panther and Bobcat courses at Plantation Golf and Country Club.
O'Donnell, a four-time All-ACC performer at Carolina (2009-2012), is tied for 34th place at even par 144 after firing a 2-over-par 74 on the Panther Course and a 2-under 70 on the Bobcat course. Casey Grice, a two-time All-ACC performer (2012-2013), is tied for 47th with a 1-over 145 total. Grice fired a 3-under 69 on the Bobcat course and a 4-over 76 on the Panther course. Allie White, a three-time National Golf Coaches Association All-America Scholar (2009, 2011, 2012), is tied for 115th place at 5-over 149. White shot a 7-over 79 on the Panther Course but rebounded with a 2-under 70 on the Bobcat course.
The Bobcat Course at Plantation Golf and Country Club features a par 72, 6,490-yard layout while the Panther Course features a par 72, 6,226-yard layout. The third round will be played Thursday. O'Donnell and Grice will both be playing the Panther Course. Grice will tee off the #1 tee at 8:40 a.m. while O'Donnell will start on #10 at 12:25 p.m. White will play the Bobcat Course starting at 12:15 p.m. off the #1 tee.The top 80 players including tied advance on to the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament Dec. 4-8 at LPGA International, Jones and Hills courses, in Daytona Beach, Fla.
