FROM COACH SAPP
"The Scarlet Course is a wonderful test of
golf and has hosted numerous
NCAA Championships so it is a great opportunity for our guys to go up and
play such a venue. I have been there over a dozen times and Coach
DiBitetto has also been there so hopefully we will be able to guide our
players well around the course.
"Davis Bateman will make his first start as a Tar Heel after winning a
spot in qualifying this week and he will be the eighth different player to
start for us in this young season. That shows the depth and competition
on our team this year and bodes well for the future, both this year and in
"Outside of Davis, we take a veteran squad of Andy Sajevic (who has played
a college tournament at the Scarlet Course), Bailey Patrick, Brandon
Dalinka, and Keagan Cummings.
"We will face some of the top teams in the country this week and it will
be a fun experience for our players."
