Working toward a double major in political science and international studies with a minor in Hispanic studies ... Is attending UNC on a Morehead-Cain Scholarship, the most prestigious merit scholarship awarded at the University ... Only two previous field hockey letterwinners have been Morehead-Cain Scholars ... Participates in Carolina Leadership Academy's Veteran Leaders program ... Team representative to the Student-Athlete Advisory Council ... Her father, Gary Burns, played on two NCAA Champion men's lacrosse teams at UNC, making them the only father and daughter both to win national titles for the Tar Heels

2008: As a sophomore, played in 10 games ... Assisted on a goal in the Radford game ... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, the ACC Academic Honor Roll and the Spring 2009 Dean's List

2007: As a redshirt freshman, played in 16 games ... Named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, the Dean's List and the ACC Academic Honor Roll
