2013 - Junior Season
Appeared in 10 games at bandit • Finished with 20 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks • Also had four quarterback hurries, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup • Had a quarterback hurry against Duke • Had two tackles and shared a sack for nine yards in the win at Pitt • Missed the BC and NC State games due to injury • Had two quarterback hurries and a solo tackle against Miami • Finished with six tackles, including 1.5 for loss, at Virginia Tech • Matched a season high with seven tackles (five solo) against East Carolina • Notched his second sack of the year and recovered a fumble at Georgia Tech • Had seven tackles, including four solo stops, 2.0 tackles for loss and his first sack of the season in the win over Middle Tennessee • Also broke up a pass against the Blue Raiders • Returned from a year-long absence and made three tackles and had one quarterback pressure in the season opener at No. 6 South Carolina • Redshirted in 2012.
2011 – Sophomore Season
Became the full-time starter at the strong side linebacker spot midway through the season • Played in all 13 games and officially started four games • Tore his ACL in the Independence Bowl vs. Missouri • Finished the regular season with 42 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, one quarterback hurry and four pass breakups • Posted two tackles and broke up a pass before injurying his knee against Missouri • Had one tackle in the win over Duke • Posted three stops and assisted on a tackle for loss at Virginia Tech • Recorded six tackles in the loss at NC State • Broke up a pass and recorded three tackles in a 49-24 win vs. Wake Forest • Had three tackles in a 30-24 loss to Miami • Recorded a career-high nine tackles, broke up a pass and had a quarterback pressure in a 14-7 victory over Louisville • Posted three tackles in a 35-20 victory at East Carolina • Had four stops in a loss at Georgia Tech • Recorded three tackles, including a 4-yard tackle for loss, in a 28-17 victory vs. Virginia • Posted two tackles and broke up a pass in a 24-22 victory vs. Rutgers • Carolina limited the Scarlet Knights to just one yard rushing, the fewest by an opponent since 2000 • Had three tackles, including two solo stops and one assist, in Carolina’s 42-10 win over James Madison.

Played in 11 games and started one as a true freshman • Had four tackles on the season, including two vs. Virginia and one each against Miami and William & Mary • Started against William & Mary.
