Camp Highlights

Camper to Staff Ratio - We make every effort to have an excellent counselor to camper ratio. This ensures quality instruction and individual attention. Our fall Elite Camps are limited to only 48 campers/camp.

Gear - Each camper receives an individually numbered Nike Dri-Fit camp shirt. Official Carolina Baseball game hats and various other Nike baseball items may be purchased during registration and at other times during camp from our camp store.

Quality Facilities - Carolina Baseball Camps are held at the $26m Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium located in the heart of campus.

Written Assessment - Campers attending the Elite Prospect Camp will receive a standard written assessment from his particular counselor/coach. Our staff does not "grade" the camper, but critiques the camper on his abilities and tries to make suggestions on how to improve. UNC coaches normally do not complete these evaluations.

Airport Shuttle Service - The Chapel Hill area is served by Raleigh- Durham International Airport. Transportation from RDU is available through the following: Chapel Hill Express (919)941-6993 or campers may take a taxi. Transportation to RDU at the conclusion of the camp will be provided at no extra charge

Medical Staff

As required, we have a certified NATA trainer at our camp to attend to the medical needs of the campers.

Injury or illness while at camp
In the event of any injury or illness, each camper will be evaluated by the NATA certified trainer. He/She may recommend that your son sit out a session or revisit the trainer before the next session. Your son should follow the advice of the trainer as it is in his best interest to do so. If your son has not registered a complaint, the trainer cannot always know there is something wrong just by looking at a camper. In the event the trainer recommends your son see a physician, the trainer will try to contact you immediately. Please have your son prepared to drink a lot of fluids as heat related injuries are most common in summer.

Insurance

In the event of injury or illness while at camp, your son will be taken to the UNC Hospital located within a mile of both the dorm and fields. It will be necessary for the insurance information that you provide on the waiver statement to be accurate. All campers must have their own medical insurance. Carolina Baseball Camps, Inc. provides excess coverage after your insurance policy has been utilized. Campers will not be allowed to play unless the information is submitted and the form is signed by the parent or guardian of the camper.
